Teaching Evaluation Observatory

Roles and Composition
The Teaching Observatory is a committee composed equally of two faculty members and two students. The faculty members are appointed by the CAD in Nanotechnology Engineering, while the students are appointed by the President of the CAD based on nominations from the student body. The term of office for faculty members is three years.

The tasks of the committee are:
• To manage a permanent observatory on the effectiveness of teaching activities.
• To assess the effectiveness of the decisions made by the CAD and the Faculty regarding the quality of teaching and the services provided.
• To develop proposals to improve the quality and efficiency of teaching.
• To support the Quality Committee in drafting the annual self-assessment report.

These activities are carried out through regular meetings with the student members of the committee. Upon request by the students or on special occasions, other students may be invited to attend these meetings to provide a more complete overview of any issues under discussion.

Normally, the student representatives present and discuss any needs or concerns that may arise. On an exceptional basis, all students may communicate specific needs directly to the faculty members of the committee. Anonymous communications are not accepted.
