The Master's Degree Programme in Nanotechnology Engineering actively participates in internationalization initiatives promoted within the CIVIS – Europe’s Civic University Alliance (https://civis.eu/en/), which brings together eleven of the most renowned educational and research institutions in Europe, of which Sapienza is a member.
A dedicated sub-committee of the CINT specifically supports CIVIS activities for the annual organization of the International Summer School on Nanosciences & Nanotechnologies (NANOSUM). The school is structured as a Blended Intensive Programme, the new Erasmus+ mobility format that combines online teaching with a short visit to another campus, fostering joint learning among students and faculty from across Europe.
The school is open to second-year master’s students and PhD candidates enrolled at CIVIS member universities. Participants are required to have a solid background in condensed matter physics and/or organic and inorganic chemistry and/or biophysics.
For selected students of the Master’s Degree Programme in Nanotechnology Engineering, participation in the school grants 1 ECTS credit as an Alternative Learning Activity (AAF) and 2 ECTS credits as extracurricular activities within their study plan.
Information on each year’s edition of the school is published among the homepage news updates on the programme’s website.
